Andrew Bonham is Vice President of W. R. Grace & Co. and President of Grace Construction
Products. He has expertise in business realignments, product innovation and process
implementations that ensure sustainable financial performance.
Throughout his 25+ year career, Andrew has worked in nearly all aspects of the construction
and building management industries, ranging from residential safety to climate controls to
large scale infrastructure. He has overseen business operations and negotiated acquisitions,
divestments and joint ventures in more then 45 countries. The result is a well-balanced leader
that can address industry trends and developments, global operations and customer needs.
Andrew joined Grace in 2005 as Vice President and General Manager of Grace Construction
Products – Europe, based in Brussels, Belgium. In this position, he was responsible for revenues
of $350 million and 600+ employees across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia.
He was promoted to his current position in September 2007 with responsibility for Grace's
specialty construction chemicals and building materials product lines that include specialty
admixtures for the cement and concrete industry; waterproofing and residential building materials;
and fire protection products.
Before joining Grace, Andrew worked at Invensys plc, a global industrial automation and
controls provider. He joined the company in 2000 as Vice President of Marketing, Communications
and e-Business for a division with 125 manufacturing operations and 17,000 employees. He earned
several promotions and was most recently, President of Invensys Controls-Americas where he oversaw
a unit with revenues in excess of $800 million. While there, he integrated two major units into a
single entity and restructured the combined business through a series of strategic initiatives,
reversing a downward revenue trend and improving overall margins.
Earlier in his career, Andrew worked at AlliedSignal, Inc. (now Honeywell) as Director
of Sales for the company's Performance Fibers Business Unit. While there, he implemented
a growth-oriented performance based culture in the North American region. He also held a
marketing position for AlliedSignal's $40 million technology start-up serving the military,
law enforcement and industrial textile sectors.
In addition to these experiences, Andrew spent 12 years with General Electric (GE).
He held senior commercial management positions within the company's plastics and silicones
product groups. While at GE, he underwent significant leadership and financial training at
the company’s leadership institute in Ossining, New York (commonly known as Crotonville.)
Andrew holds an MBA from Averett University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
