Grace is focused on continually increasing diversity and inclusion among its employees located in more than 40 countries.
Approximately 3,800 people work in Grace Davison facilities,
1,700 work in Grace Construction Products facilities, and 800 are dedicated
to corporate activities shared through globally managed professional groups
such as financial and legal services, human resources, information technology,
supply chain and environmental health and safety.
Approximately 2,900 people, or 46% of employees, work in the United States.
Within this country, the overall workforce is approximately 21% female and 20% minority.
There are nearly 730 employees of African American, Hispanic, Asian and American Indian descent.
These figures are expected to increase based on new hiring trends. In 2008,
females and minorities accounted for about 43% of new hires (up from 30% in 2007).
The company operates a Diversity and Inclusion Council that serves as an advisory board to the company, bridging communications and developing the strategies and tactics to make Grace an even more inclusive and diverse learning organization.
In addition, Grace performs diversity audits and maintains data on recruitment of people of color. The CEO personally reviews this data and has spoken about the importance of diversity at company events.
