LIBRA Catalyst Technology

Testing has shown that LIBRA catalysts substantially outperform industry benchmarks. After a major fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit revamp, a large U.S. refiner was seeking to optimize yields and operations. By using LIBRA, the refiner shifted low-value light and heavy products to high-value mid-barrel products. Slurry was reduced and gas yields declined despite increased conversion. Having successfully and profitably pioneered a new catalyst technology, the refiner's focus is now on optimization of the catalysts/FCC unit interaction.
