SYLOID^® Silica Grades

SYLOID^® Silica C-Grades are high performance grades with the highest efficiency due to their 2.0 ml/g pore volume. They are available in particle sizes from 3.5 to 12 μm, in organically treated and untreated versions.

SYLOID^® Silica C 1007 is perfectly suited for HAPS-free systems. It has a 7 μm particle size and is highly efficient.

SYLOID^® Silica 7000 is a fine sized, 4.5 μm grade with maximum pore volume suited for thinner films and wood coatings. It possesses excellent suspension properties and yields smooth and highly transparent films.

SYLOID^® Silica ED 30 offers a great efficiency / viscosity balance and smooth surfaces as well as excellent suspension and dispersion properties. Particle size is 5.5 μm, pore volume is 1.8ml/g. Contact our Technical Service to inquire whether any of our other ED grades would be suitable for your application.

Platform Grades These are matting agents with particle sizes between 5.3 and 12.5 μm, available with organic, inorganic or no surface treatment, in a variety of pore volumes to suit your coating needs.

AL-1 and ZN-1 are desiccant grades for metal flake finishes, available in two particle sizes and at two pH levels.
