SYLOID® FP silicas acting as anti-caking agents serve the following functions:

Prevent packing of particles and act as a physical barrier when the mass is compacted

Adsorb excess moisture from the atmosphere before it can be adsorbed by the bulk powder

Adsorb moisture diffusing out of the bulk powder, especially in particle reduction steps and after drying if the center of the particle is still moist
- Adsorb material in its internal pores, effectively eliminating the release of water or oil back into the food product due to compaction, etc.
