SYLODENT^® PERKASIL^® Thickening Silicas

Thickening silicas are an extremely critical component of any toothpaste formulation.

Controlling the viscosity characteristics of the product is directly related to the stand up characteristics exhibited by the toothpaste.

Some paste products are formulated to have high viscosity and excellent stand up, while in others it is desirable to get a more liquid type paste.

But, in addition to controlling the viscosity of the paste or gel formulation, the thickening silica has a strong influence on the mouth feel of the paste.

With Grace silicas, it is possible to choose a thickening silica that will allow a well-developed mouth feel even though the viscosity may be lower.
