SYLOBLOC® Additive Preblends

Grace produces three different kinds of unique combination products:

Machine

  • Physical Blends

    These powdered grades are produced in a unique cold homogenization process consisting of two or more additives, one of which is a SYLOBLOC® antiblocking agent.

  • Integrated or ‘Melt-In‘ Grades

    These variations are produced when the free silica content volume can fully accommodate the organic additives present in the formulation. These powdered grades are produced during a specialized hot mixing process.

  • Pelletized Silica Blends (PelSibs)

    PelSibs are non-dusting blends that are produced in our patented process where an ‘excess’ of the organic content of the additive formulation exists, which cannot be accommodated within the internal volume of the silica gel.

Such products differ mainly in their dusting and dispersion behavior.
