LIBBY, Mont., Apr 03, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- W. R. Grace & Co. (NYSE:GRA) announced today that it has presented
a check for $250,000 to St. John's Lutheran Hospital in Libby,
Montana. This is Grace's ninth donation to the hospital in keeping
with its pledge to ensure that the community has resources to help
Libby residents diagnosed with asbestos-related illness.
In 2000, Grace promised to provide St. John's with funding to help
it meet the needs of those in the Libby community with an
asbestos-related condition. To date, the company has contributed more
than $2.15 million to St. John's to support its work on this important
issue.
Bill Patten, St. John's Lutheran Hospital Chief Executive Officer,
said the funds are used to provide care and services for patients with
asbestos related disease.
"Grace's support has helped us keep pace with the medical needs of
the community," said Patten. "We use the funds to provide the
state-of-the-art equipment that helps us screen, treat and care for
Libby's residents."
In addition to the hospital donations, Grace created a medical
